Blip
Meet Blip, the high-flying sensation of the BattleBots arena.
Blip
Inside Blip
Created by master builder Aren Hill, former captain of World Champion Tantrum, and Team Seems Reasonable out of Mountain View, California, Blip is a revolutionary flipper bot that turns physics on its head.
While most flippers rely on heavy pneumatic tanks or hydraulic pumps, Blip harnesses the massive kinetic energy of an internal flywheel spinning at more than 9,000 RPM. When Blip triggers its launch arm, that energy transfers instantly, catapulting 250-pound opponents up to 14 feet into the air.
Compact, fast, and wrapped in rubber-isolated shock armor inherited from Tantrum, Blip stormed through its rookie season in World Championship VI with a 5-1 record and reached the Top 8.
Meet the Builder
Aren Hill
Team Seems Reasonable · Mountain View, California
Aren Hill is the creator of Blip and a former captain of World Champion Tantrum. His unconventional approach to robot engineering replaced traditional pneumatic and hydraulic flipper systems with a compact flywheel-powered mechanism.
The result is a fast, durable machine capable of recharging its flipper in under one second and launching 250-pound opponents high above the BattleBox floor.
