Step into the future of robot combat with Orbitron.

Orbitron
Autonomous Combat
Turning the BattleBox into an AI testing ground
Orbitron is an ambitious milestone in BattleBots history: a fully autonomous, AI-driven heavyweight competitor.
Built in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, by brothers Steven and Peter Szczeszynski, Orbitron nearly eliminates the need for a traditional human driver.
The robot relies on computer vision, real-time localization, and automated path-planning software to understand its environment and decide how to attack.
Powered by dual spinners and a three-wheel omnidirectional drive system, Orbitron is designed to react, maneuver, and strike faster than the limits of human reaction time.

Builder Spotlight
Steven & Peter Szczeszynski
Orbitron · Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
Brothers Steven and Peter Szczeszynski built Orbitron to explore what happens when software becomes an active competitor inside the BattleBox.
Their autonomous system combines computer vision, localization, path planning, and multidirectional movement to make decisions at machine speed.
